Daschbosch Cellar – enhance offloading capacity

Beveratech Projects successfully executed a comprehensive upgrade at Daschbosch Cellar, addressing the need to enhance offloading capacity due to outdated equipment that previously limited daily grape intake and impacted processing efficiency.

The upgrade included substantial improvements, such as civil works to enlarge offloading pits for larger bins, the installation of an extended driveway slab, and a new ramp. Advanced drainage systems were introduced to manage stormwater and effluent efficiently.

Three custom-designed 15-ton offloading bins were seamlessly incorporated into the existing setup, enabling faster offloading and accommodating link loads. These bins, equipped with variable speed drives (VSD), work harmoniously with downstream equipment to ensure peak performance. The oversized drainage system separates free-flowing juice from grape berries, bypassing the destemmer, while a dedicated juice line provides added winemaking flexibility.

Advanced destemmers were installed to handle increased volumes and improve grape quality, resulting in a yield boost of up to 35 liters per ton, showcasing the transformative potential of modern technology in enhancing efficiency and profitability.

A more reliable stem conveyor system replaced the outdated blower to eliminate downtime and improve hygiene. Hydraulic hoists were dismantled and substituted with a quick coupling system, allowing trailers to connect to the power source easily and safely during offloading.

To safeguard equipment, magnetic hoppers below the crushers were added to protect against damage from metal fragments. Larger pumps and hoppers were also installed, ensuring seamless processing and extending equipment longevity. Worker safety remained a priority, with hand railings installed to comply with all relevant standards.
